About the Role

Reporting directly to the Director of Global Mission, this focal coordinating role within our Global Mission Team (GMT) will ensure the effective functioning of the GMT by offering:

BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND PURPOSE OF THE POST

The Finance and Resources Team is responsible for responsible for HI’s finances, general services and HR in the UK. It comprises the Chief Finance and Operating Officer, a Finance Officer and an Accounting Officer.

The main purpose of this post is:

• To ensure smooth and efficient running of the HI UK office, including office services, IT, internal communications and health & safety
• To act as a key point of contact within the organisation and externally
• To undertake human resources administration for staff and volunteers, including supporting recruitment and follow-up
• To provide administrative support to the Chief Executive, Leadership Team and Board of Trustees

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

• Maintain the office facilities and environment to agreed service levels
• Act as primary point of contact with the landlord and all suppliers for the office space, proactively dealing with arising issues
• Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of office equipment and IT equipment for all staff and volunteers, and arrange their repair or replacement, in conjunction with the Finance Officer and the Accounting Officer, as need arises
• Act as principal contact person for HI UK’s IT infrastructure and support provider, helping colleagues to access IT support when required and developing and implementing the organisation’s IT strategy
• Manage budget lines associated with running of the office and participate in procurement, primarily of office and IT supplies, liaising with external suppliers.
• Act as designated Health & Safety Officer for the office, including ensuring Health & Safety policies are up to date and being adhered to
• Continually review systems in place within the office, make improvements where required, and communicate these to relevant people

Human Resources

• Provide administrative support and advice for the recruitment of staff, consultants and volunteers, including advertising, interviews, issue of contracts and inductions, liaising with the federation manager and recruitment teams when relevant
• Assist with other HR tasks, including managing staff and volunteer files, managing the HR information system, administrative support for payroll and contributing to updates of the staff handbook
• Support teams on volunteer recruitment, contracts, induction, support and training
• Maintain an up-to-date welcome kit for new starters and provide and coordinate induction training sessions

· Make sure that HR policies and internal processes are updated and well known by all the staff

• Provide support and advice to managers on HR matters, in collaboration with the Chief Finance and Operating Officer and the Chief Executive, including leave management, payroll, pension, changes in contracts or situation, flexible working and flexible hours, diversity and inclusion, potential conflict and interpretation of the Staff Handbook

Administrative support

• Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive, including diary management, preparing and servicing meetings and filing
• Organise and support meetings of the Board of Trustees, including room booking, diary management, preparation of papers, minute-taking and organising catering
• Maintain filing systems
• Deal with enquiries, calls and emails from the public, partners and other HI entities
• Support specific projects as needed

Other tasks

• Contribute to projects led by the Finance and Resources team and the HI UK whole team.

About the Role

We are looking for a Day Service Co-ordinator to join our art studio team and support people living with brain injury in our day centre in Haggerston.

You will take responsibility for organising and delivering activities in the Submit to Love art studio, such as supporting members in creating new artworks, planning and delivering events and outings, and engaging members in a variety of other activities in response to their needs and interests.

The role also involves providing advocacy and support (key working) for up to 12 members and ensuring the smooth running of the day service as a member of the co-ordinating team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Activities in the art studio:

•  Support members to engage creatively and develop their personal artistic practise.
• Work alongside the studio manager, day service members and volunteers to plan and deliver events, including artist led workshops, exhibitions and open studios.
•  Plan trips to cultural events and experiences.

Key working:

• Act as key worker for up to 16 members, checking in regularly about their engagement in the centre and their general wellbeing, and supporting them with information, advice, and advocacy as appropriate.
• Establish and maintain contact with members’ families, carers, and relevant statutory partners to facilitate good communication and better provide appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including comprehensive individual risk assessments.

Day Service co-ordination:

• Work closely with colleagues and volunteers in the day service and other teams at Headway East London to create a welcoming, supportive, and stimulating environment for members.
• Share responsibility for practical tasks in the day service to ensure its smooth running.
• Work sensitively with volunteers, supporting them alongside the volunteer co-ordinator to take on meaningful and rewarding roles in the day service.

Contract Responsibilities

This position works closely with the members of the Learning and Development Team, as well as working in a support role with members of the Programmes Team to deliver quality learning and development programming. The Learning and Development Coordinator also works in partnership with external partners, including members of RedR’s Associate Trainer network, as well as other RedR organisations, partners and clients.

ABOUT THIS ROLE 

The Learning and Development Coordinator is an essential role within the Learning and Development Team and the Programmes Team more generally. The staff will closely work and coordinate with other members of the L&D Team as well as Programme Managers, Coordinators and Officers, Associate Trainers and Consultants, etc. The L&D Coordinator designs and adapts RedR UK training materials as well as providing technical L&D support and quality assurance to the broader Programmes Team. In particular, this role will focus on building and strengthening RedR UK’s self-paced eLearning offerings. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

Ensure that the quality of our L&D services and material is maintained, improved and expanded: 

• Contribute to guiding, standardising and quality assuring the conversion of learning/training material, content and courses or course modules to e-learning 
• Contribute to updating, maintaining and expanding RedR UK L&D and training material and resources, store & categorise them, and make them accessible
• Contribute to the update and maintenance of RedR UK’s e-learning and open-source learning platforms
• Provide quality assurance of project outputs or deliverables and assist in drafting high quality reports
• Contribute to the development or updating of RedR UK’s L&D and eLearning strategies 

Support the delivery of RedR UK's demand-led services to a consistently high standard: 

• Provide an end-to-end service - designing, supporting, quality assuring and evaluating the delivery of learning interventions, including developing new training and capacity development services (F2F, online facilitated and eLearning), particularly in connection with RedR UK’s self-paced eLearning offerings 
• Coordinate with the L&D team on planning and scheduling of L&D activities and liaise with colleagues across RedR UK to ensure uniform high quality of services 
• Where appropriate, design and/or deliver learning/training services directly to the participants 
• Where appropriate and agreed by line manager, lead the execution of selected projects, especially L&D projects 
• Assist in ensuring that necessary monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) data is gathered and analysed on all activities 

Support Network of Associate Trainers (ATs) and L&D Consultants to effectively deliver RedR UK's services: 

• Support the capacity building of ATs in L&D and technical Quality Assurance related matters, including introduction to RedR UK training methodologies, innovative training techniques, new training tools, etc. 
• Contribute to the recruitment, assessment and onboarding of prospective new Associate Trainers (ATs) into the trainer pool and/or on specific projects as required 
• Coordinate the work, performance, and planning of Associate Trainers when working under the L&D Unit. Quality-assure their work when working under Programmes Hubs 

Ensure that RedR UK services meet the needs of the sector and work to expand our reach: 

• Keep up to date with developments in learning with a focus on eLearning technologies and platforms, as well as other training methodologies and issues in the humanitarian sector and advise RedR UK programme teams accordingly 
• Contribute to identifying and exploring possibilities for expanding the range of services offered by the organisation and source funding for their implementation 
• Support business development efforts and proposal preparation by ensuring that the L&D component of the methodology is appropriate, services offered are in line with requirements, likely to achieve high impact and adding overall value to the programme 
• Represent RedR UK at selected external events and forums, as appropriate 
• Be the Key Account Manager (KAM) for selected Key Accounts (clients and partners) in line with RedR UK’s KAM System

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

• Experience in design of self-paced and blended eLearning programmes, including experience with Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Vyond and other animation/design platforms including a strong understanding of accessibility requirements 
• Experience managing Learning Management Systems, especially Moodle 
• Experience and understanding of learning and development approaches, adult learning (andragogy) and participatory learning methodologies, including designing and conducting LNAs, designing, delivering and evaluating face-to-face and online facilitated events and revising/adapting training material
• Experience assessing learning, familiarity with the Kirkpatrick Model, and experience tracking, evaluating and reporting on learning data 
• Excellent people skills and experience in the coordination of consultants, including effective cross-cultural communication and strong inter-personal skills

You will work closely with Greenwich residents aged 50 years + and other relevant stakeholders to enable a programme of services, events and activities which seek to improve their health and wellbeing. It will target those who are lonely, isolated, and living in disadvantaged parts of the borough.

Bexley Food Alliance Project Coordinator

The Bexley Food Alliance is a new network which was funded by the GLA to work towards taking pressure off the emergency food aid services and providing increased financial support to Bexley residents. This network has now expanded and aims to build a collaborative network of agencies that can increase fairer access to healthy, nutritious and culturally appropriate food, as well as any additional support residents might need. We are looking for a Project Coordinator to take over the day-to-day running of this network (see below for a brief description). This is a good opportunity for anyone who wants to take on a part-time, one-year project, perhaps as a stepping stone into something more significant, or perhaps you’re returning to work or changing careers. This is an opportunity to be at the start of an exciting, innovative partnership project, shaping a network and forming strong alliances with various agencies. 

You will work closely with the VCS within Bexley to build the capacity and capabilities of local groups, provide partnership/networking opportunities that enable them to carry out their own objectives effectively and offer high quality services.

These are the normal duties which are required of the position; however, we do require that all staff be flexible and may be required to perform other duties to ensure the efficient running of services. 

Please note that the base for this role is split between the Engine House, Bexley, and Bexley Civic Offices. In addition, the post will involve occasional working from various venues across the borough.

The role

The post of Project Coordinator is critical to the work we do and this is a great opportunity to make a real difference to improve health and care services and make them work better for the patients and local people of our city.

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a variety of patient-focused projects on different topics, against quality, time and cost constraints. You will manage projects from inception to delivery including publicising, following up on any recommendations, and promoting the impact that we make. Work Location

Our office is at Community Base, 113 Queens Road, Brighton. We’re a home-based team, but hold team meetings at the office every Monday and you will be expected to work in the office on this day. There is also an option of office working on Thursday and hot-desking in either the office or Community Works’ office space on other days.

We will provide line management, technology and equipment support to enable home working. Applicants must be prepared to undertake this role in either form of work setting.

Main responsibilities and duties:

1. To be responsible for all aspects of planning and delivering a portfolio of time-limited projects. Typically, this will include:

• scoping evidence-backed projects which support our wider strategic aims
• contributing to written project plans

About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease.

PVD is a serious condition which can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting and light-headedness. It can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised, or well-understood.

We bring together an international network of professionals to improve clinical care, education and PVD research. The network comprises thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics and industry partners, supported by our small team in Bermondsey, London. Together we deliver conferences, e-learning, an academic journal, and we raise awareness of the condition.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
 

Service delivery

• Ensure that all aspects of Rahab’s project activities are planned, organized and undertaken to fulfil their objectives within their required timelines.

• Develop, organize, and maintain project documentation, plans, reports, and other project-related documents to monitor and track overall progress, outputs and achievement of milestones.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate project risks, delays and issues to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.

• Participation at monthly SI MARAC meetings, ensuring that the work of the group is effectively joined up with wider groups and meetings focussed on addressing risk and harm.

• Represent Rahab in multi-agency working groups, meetings, and forums, sharing knowledge and learning, publicising services available and how to access support. 

Beneficiary co-production 

• Work with Manager to start developing a framework and mechanism for gathering feedback from beneficiaries to evaluate the support they are receiving. 

• Work with the team to identify opportunities for our beneficiaries’ active participation in the project in ways that are safe and empowering.

We are now recruiting for a new role in the Resources Team within the Crisis at Christmas Team to support with coordinating the material donations needed to set up and run Crisis at Christmas centres and services. Every year, Crisis at Christmas opens its doors to people who need our support, offering warmth, accommodation, healthcare, food, and specialist advice. Job Purpose

This role sits within our new Men’s Minds project, based in Hounslow. The aim of the service is to improve men’s mental health outcomes by developing a mental health network supported and directed by the voices of its members.

This will be achieved through three service strands: 1) Peer support network, 2) Psychoeducation workshops, addressing common needs of men’s mental health 3) Outreach support to raise awareness of men’s mental health and promote this service.

The Men’s Minds Project Coordinator will work closely with the members in shaping the service and ensuring voices of men in Hounslow are heard and acted upon. This service will be staffed with 1 part-time (25hrs per week) Project Coordinator and a pool of peer led volunteers. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the volunteers.

The Role

The role of the Men’s Minds Project Coordinator is to arrange and coordinate a range of psychoeducation, and peer-led workshops which will be delivered weekly. With the addition of attending various community and stakeholder events to deliver the outreach strand of the service.

The BNSSG Mental Health Alliance is a network of over 20 Voluntary, Community and 
Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations based across the Bristol, North Somerset and South 
Glos (BNSSG) regions, working collaboratively to deliver a range of psychological 
interventions for our communities. Commissioned by the Integrated Care Board (ICB) to 
work alongside the statutory sector, our aim is to offer holistic and inclusive support for 
people experiencing a range of challenges to their mental health including depression, 
anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, perinatal mental health. As part of this, the VCSE Mental 
Health Alliance recently received funding from the ICB to undertake a review of 
psychological therapies within BNSSG, seeking to better align the VCSE and statutory 
services in keeping with the new Community Mental Health Framework. 
We are now seeking to recruit two part-time Project Coordinators to help us develop this 
project over the next 10 months.

About the Project
There is a lack of accessible psychological therapy provision across Bristol, North Somerset, 
and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) leading to gaps in service, some people not accessing 
services or waiting a long time to be seen. This is particularly true for people who have 
‘complex’ trauma presentations, experience multiple barriers to accessing services and/ or
require evidenced based and trauma informed interventions to address their needs.
Much of the therapy that people access in Primary Care outside of NHS Talking Therapies 
and Secondary Care, is provided in the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE)
sector, by specialist charitable organisations. This therapy is unevenly distributed across the 
six localities in BNSSG.

Womankind completed Phase 1 with a comprehensive report on VCSE talking therapies 
provision, (January 2024). 
Bristol Mind and Womankind are members of the VCSE Mental Health Alliance and are 
leading on Phase 2 of the project.

Job purpose and responsibilities
To reach and represent our diverse membership, we are recruiting two part-time Project 
Coordinator posts who will work collaboratively to plan and deliver activities. Project 
Coordinators will be managed separately by our organisations. 
The Project Coordinator(s) will be responsible for the successful delivery of Phase 2 of the 
project and will work in collaboration with key stakeholders to support the re-design of a new, 
integrated model of care that will optimise psychological therapies provision for the people of 
BNSSG. 

Role Description
1. To work in collaboration with key stakeholders.
2. To collate referral and signposting data between statutory & VCSE Psychological 
Therapies services, tracking service-user journeys and gaps in provision.
3. To undertake targeted ‘deep dive’ consultations with evidence-based VCSE 
Psychological Therapies providers (121 and group), drawing out information on 
numbers/ sessions, waiting lists/times, geography, presenting issues, equity-based 
offers, service and clinical outcomes.
4. To work closely with Lived Experience groups to identify key system blocks and 
solutions relating to referral pathways, waiting times, choice/ flexibility, co-design and 
service-user voice.
5. To support the design of a new integrated model, working closely with the VCSE MH 
Alliance and wider Evidence-Based Practice Steering Group in order to agree key 
elements.
6. To support the design and delivery of a ‘test & learn’ approach to piloting the model, 
working closely with lived experience volunteers and an external research consultant.
7. To contribute to a final report designed to recommend best practice, promote interagency training, and support joined-up mental health provision across BNSSG.
